Joy to the world, the Lord is come. God is so good to our precious school. His blessings abound each and every day. What a gift to hear the joy that fills the hallways and sweet angel voices singing Christmas songs. We experience the sharing of gifts, the light in the eyes of each child, the loving parents in our Faith Family, and our amazing teachers who pour their hearts and souls into nurturing our little ones.
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle this time of year, but please take a moment to pause and enjoy this advent season. Let us rest and remind ourselves why and who we celebrate during this time of year. Teaching your child about the precious gift of God’s love through His son Jesus is one tradition that will carry on for a lifetime. Your children will benefit from the time and connection with you more than anything else we can add to our agenda. Hold your loved ones close and enjoy each and every moment.
I look forward to seeing everyone at our Holly Jolly Christmas Program on Wednesday, December 15th in the Sanctuary. The children have been working hard learning their holiday songs and are eager to perform them for you. The program will be at 9:30am for the two-year-olds and 11:00am for our 3’s, VPK, and Kindergarten students. It will be a joyful event!
At the end of December we will say a heartfelt farewell to Mrs. Cooke and she takes time to prepare for her new baby girl arriving this spring. We are so grateful for the years of music and song she has provided for our children. Join me in sending her off with well wishes!
We are excited to welcome our new music teacher, Kim Lloyd, to our amazing staff in January. Mrs. Lloyd is a proud preschool parent and a certified music therapist. She brings a wealth of experience in sharing the love of music and movement with young children. We look forward to the fun and joy she will bring to school each day!
Thank you for your generosity with our Lucky Goat Coffee fundraiser. It was a great success! Our first ever Lunch on the Lawn was a hit too. It was so lovely to see families enjoy fellowship with one another. Our next Lunch on the Lawn will be on January 12th. I hope you can attend.
I look forward to seeing you at The First Christmas- A Drive-Thru Event. This will be a wonderful weekend of Christmas cheer by sharing the story of Jesus as you drive through the lighted vignettes. It will be a fun event for all!
Registration will begin on January 18th and I hope you plan on returning for another great school year with your child. A registration packet will be sent home in January. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your referrals to new families. We are so blessed to welcome friends old and new!
Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season,

Merry Christmas! We are excited to wrap up November and welcome in December! We had a great time learning about Thanksgiving and having an exciting feast with our next door neighbors-the other two year old class. A big thank you to all parents who provided things for that!
As we begin December our classroom has begun to look more like Christmas each day! Our trees are up and decorated in the window. During music each day the kids are practicing their songs for the Christmas program and we look forward to sharing that sweetness with you on the 15th!

I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving holiday! Thank you to the parents for contributing such delicious foods to make our feast so memorable.
Our December unit is Christmas, and it is well underway! We also incorporate the Five Senses into our holiday traditions and Christmas lessons. There are so many opportunities to talk about things that we touch, smell and taste around the holidays (cookies, pine trees, cinnamon). We are also talking about things we hear (caroling, bells, Santa, reindeer hooves) and things we see (lights, snow, trees, and red/green). We will also be learning about the first Christmas and where some of our holiday traditions come from. Our sensory bin this month is focused on tearing and cutting paper scraps, which is always a hit!
Both classes have been practicing for their Christmas program, which will be Wednesday December 15th at 9:30 in the sanctuary. We hope you can join us! Please note, there will be no lunch bunch or stay n play on Friday December 17th.
In January, keep a look out for our parent-teacher conference signup sheet. Our twos have made such amazing progress in the past few months and I can’t wait to share it with you at your child’s conference!

We are excited about the Christmas season and learning about baby Jesus as we focus on the Christmas story and the sights and sounds of Christmas time.
Also, we will be learning the number 5 (cinco), the color green (verde), the shape star and exploring our 5 senses as we move through December. The holiday season is fast approaching and we will be busy at the art table creating ornaments for you to enjoy on your tree as well as a special surprise for our parents! We will continue our holiday fun with a visit from Santa and our class Christmas party on December 10th, our school Christmas Program on December 15th and ending with a pajama day on December 17th.
Be sure to stop by and enjoy Faith’s magical drive-thru Christmas Light Show on December 10th -12th as we enter the Advent season. A big thank you to all our families for making our Thanksgiving Feast extra special and to Keshia Jenkins for the generous gift card toward classroom resources.
Have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year that fills your heart with joy, love and peace.

During the month of November, we spent a week each studying community helpers, harvest, and Thanksgiving. For community helpers, the children enjoyed pretending to be grocers, post office workers, veterinarians, doctors and more. We even got to have Taylor’s mom visit us from her dental office to teach us how to take care of our teeth! When learning about harvest, we had fun baking and eating corn bread and French-fried potatoes. Thanks to Eleanor, every child had a chance to grow their own potted flowers. Thanksgiving week was a wonderful time full of food, celebration, and gratitude. We made our own “Thankful Tree” to display what we are thankful for. The kids loved making decorations for the table and wearing their pilgrim hats for our big feast. Thanks to Matthew and Georges moms for all the wonderful food and treats.
The first week of December we studied squirrels and owls. We made owls with feathers and loofah sponges. We gathered acorns and sung the favorite “Gray squirrel, Gray squirrel” song. The children had a chance to make their own bird feeders too. The next two weeks of this month, we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ!

Hello! How is it already December? I am completely in shock that we have so few days of school left before Christmas break! But don't worry, these days are JAM PACKED with so much fun stuff that they will fly by too.
This week:
We are in Letter Review. This week we are having fun with Gingerbread! We have stories, activities, art, and our Gingerbread cooking day on Thursday, December 9th. Thank you so much to the Brouwer family for providing so many goodies for us to decorate with! Friday, December 10th we will have a special visitor at our school! Santa is coming to see all the classes in our gazebo out front. If you suspect that your child might be very nervous about meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, please just let me know.
This weekend (Dec 10-12th) is Faith Presbyterian's First Christmas Drive-Thru lightshow! Please make plans to bring your family through one evening between 5:30 - 8pm for this sweet event. It is a FREE event, although donations will be accepted. All monies donated go towards the preschool scholarship fund which exists to make our school available to all who wish to attend! My family and I will be there Sunday evening.
Looking ahead:
Next week we will dive more deeply into the Nativity story! We will have our school wide Christmas Program and nativity on Wednesday and our Christmas party in class on Thursday. Parents and family members are welcome to join us for the program on 12/15 inside the sanctuary. We'll begin right at 11am. Masks will be required for all adults and children, though the children will be able to perform mask less on stage. Dress code is Sunday best or Festive Casual, whichever makes your child more comfortable. :) I hope you will be able to join us!
Lastly, I have updated our class wish list with a few items, if you are interested in taking a peek. Thank you for all that you do to make this year so meaningful for your children!

So much excitement is in the air as we anticipate the celebration of Jesus’ birth and all of the festivities that brings. This month we will be reviewing letters A-L, working on rhyming sounds, experimenting with magnets, making lots of Christmas art, singing carols, baking cupcakes, playing in our gift-wrapping station, and learning all about the symbols and meaning of Christmas. There are many fun things happening this month so please check out the December calendar for more details. As we wrap up 2021, we are in such awe at how much your children have blossomed in just the four months that we have been together. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year!

Hello Faith Families!
December is upon us which brings lots of excitement but also some bittersweet news! I will be finishing out this month of school and then taking my maternity leave starting in January. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know your children and giving them a solid foundation for our wonderful new music teacher to build upon starting in the New Year.
We are finishing on a strong note with our Christmas programs next Wednesday, December 15th. 🎄 Our two year olds will sing in the Faith sanctuary at 9:30am, and our 3’s, VPK, and Kindergarten students will perform at 11:00am in the sanctuary as well. It will be such a sweet time hearing them sing about our Savior’s birth and all of the joy that Christmas brings! You will get more information in the week to follow from your child’s teacher, but we always suggest they wear their “Sunday best” with Christmas colors incorporated.
I am so thankful for my time at Faith! I will still be around to sub in the spring and keep all of the children updated on baby girl’s growth and arrival.
